Acceptance

When you make a purchase from this website, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions (your statutory rights are not affected) so please read them carefully and print a copy for your records. We may at anytime revise these terms and conditions without notice. It is up to you to ensure you regularly review and reprint them for your records as necessary.

Law and Jurisdiction

Contracts for the purchase of Products through our site will be governed by English law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Your personal shopping account

Please ensure that any information you give us is complete and correct, and update us as soon as possible if any of them change, or if you wish to be removed from our database. The details you provide us with must be the details held on record with your credit card company if that is how you choose to pay, as failure to do so may lead to delays in processing your order. Please ensure you enter the correct postcode in the box marked postcode on the account/delivery address as our system will offer you the relevant options based on this information!

When using this website, you are responsible for ensuring that all account details and passwords are kept confidential, and you accept responsibility for all activity occurring within your account. If you believe that any of this information has been made known to someone else, or is being misused, please contact us immediately (Please see contact details below)

We reserve the right to edit or remove content, refuse access to this website or cancel an order at our discretion. If we cancel an order, we will notify you immediately and you will not incur any costs.

Pricing and availability

The total price of your goods will be stipulated at the time you place your order or at the end when your order has been confirmed. All prices are in pounds sterling including the relevant taxes for the UK where applicable. Any customs or import duties due when your order reaches its destination country are your responsibility.

The 'confirmation' stage sets out the final details of your order. Following this, we will send to you an order acknowledgement e-mail detailing the products you have ordered. Please note that this e-mail is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from The Saddlery Shop Ltd.

Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will only take place on despatch of the products ordered to the address supplied unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in the meantime.

While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

On extremely rare occasions, the cost of the product may have increased but not updated on the website, taxes may have not been included in the price, or they may have changed. We will inform you immediately and before dispatch if this is the case to ensure you still wish to purchase, but at the revised cost.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for goods if it has been listed at the incorrect price due to a typographical error, or the price from our suppliers, tax or duty office was incorrect when our price was published. If you have already been charged we will immediately refund you the total amount you have paid (including any delivery charges).

All products and services offered for sale on this website are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Pictures used are for illustration only and although we endeavour to be as accurate as possible, may differ slightly from the actual product supplied. If goods cannot be supplied for any reason we will contact you and you will not be charged for the items ordered. If payment has already been taken, you will be refunded for the cost (and any postage charges if applicable) immediately.

We endeavour to hold stocks of all our active products, but if we are out of stock of your chosen item we will inform you of an estimated delivery date (subject to availability).

Some items may be shipped direct to you from our supplier in order for you to receive your chosen items as quickly as possible. This means that you may receive your order in separate parts, but will not incur any additional carriage charges (unless stated on your order conformation due to part of your order being out of stock at the time of ordering)

We cannot be held responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Order Procedure and Payment

You can order securely online or by telephone. You can register an account with us, or checkout as a guest.

When ordering online:

  1. Place the items you wish to purchase in your basket and proceed to checkout.
  2. If you already have an account with us, simply log in at this point. If you have not shopped with us before, you can either checkout as a guest, or create an account during the checkout process.
    1. Once you have entered your details, you must tick to confirm you wish to place an order and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
    2. You will then enter your payment details (card or PayPal)
    3. The payment will then be securely processed (we take instant payment in sterling), and an order acknowledgement email will be sent to you (to the email address you supply), to confirm that we have received your order.
    4. If for any reason we are unable to fulfil your order, we will issue a full refund within 30 days of taking the original payment.
    5. Please ensure you check all emails for accuracy, and let us know immediately if there are any errors. The only email that constitutes entry into a contract of sale is the email that tells you that your order has been despatched. No other email from us constitutes this contract. Title of the Products in the shipment will then pass to you upon delivery.
    6. If there are any issues with your order, a member of the customer services team will contact you.

Card Security

Our site uses the most secure methods of payment processing possible, and no card details are stored anywhere on our website or premises. We are fully PCI compliant, and follow very strict procedures to ensure complete data and card security.

When you place an order with us by card (if not using PayPal), our payment provider will store a secure 'token' on their system to enable you to check out faster next time you buy from us. If you wish to have this token removed, please contact us and we can delete this for you straight away.

Faulty Goods

If you receive an item that has a fault, or a product develops a fault, please do not use the product (or stop using it immediately) and contact us. We will not be held liable for any other costs relating to faulty goods (such as loss of earnings, entry fees etc).

Our Liability

Nothing in this contract or elsewhere will exclude or limit our liability in relation to your consumer protection rights, and your statutory rights are not affected.

We are not responsible for loss or damage of a nature that we could not reasonably have foreseen, which results from you misusing the goods (including using them for a purpose other than they were designed), or loss or damage as a result of wear and tear, or from goods which are damaged after being delivered to you.

Some of the items that we sell are more of a fashion nature and may not be suitable for sports and other activities. You should therefore ensure that you are satisfied that a product is suitable for the purpose for which you intend to use it.

The contract that we enter into with you, shall be only with you as a consumer, and we will not be liable for any business losses that you may suffer as a result of us breaching the contract, including where goods are found to be faulty. For example we will not be liable for loss of profits or loss of income.

Despatch times: The despatch date is based on the longest despatch estimate given for a product within an order, for example if you order 3 items and all 3 are ‘in stock’ the order will usually be despatched same day (if placed before 12pm). If however you ordered 3 items and 2 items are ‘in stock’ but one item has ‘available to ship in: 2-3 days’ then your order will be held until all items are present and then despatched on the selected postage option, listed below. You can request in stock items to be despatched immediately, and all other items to follow, this will incur a single additional standard postage charge for despatch of the remaining goods.

Usually 3 - 5 working days from despatch, delivery by either Royal Mail or courier. 

Express £5.99 (DHL 24)
Usually next working day* (orders placed before 12pm, ordered/ delivered Monday - Friday). 
Express orders are given priority despatch over standard and priority orders.

Saturday Delivery- £16.99
Orders can be placed on any day of the week up to 12pm (midday) Friday (except bank holidays) for delivery by DHL on the Saturday that week.
Saturday orders are given priority despatch.

Orders under £75

Standard - £3.99
Delivery is usually within working days from despatch* and delivered by either Royal Mail or courier. 

Express £7.99 (DHL 24)
Usually next working day* (orders placed before 12pm, ordered/delivered Monday - Friday). 
Express orders are given priority despatch over standard and priority orders.

Saturday Delivery- £16.99

*Please note: The most up to date information about delivery options can be found when you check out, and supersedes this information which is only a guide. Delivery may take longer than the estimated time frames, and is there is never a guaranteed delivery date hence we are unable to compensate for, or refund postage for late delivery. If a product shows the message 'Available to ship in approximately X - X working days' in orange, the delivery time is in addition to the shipping estimate.

If we manage to send your order by Royal Mail (Most orders under 2kg when packed), we will only charge £4.99 and will refund you the difference. Delivery estimate: Usually within 6 working days from despatch

Delivery estimate: Usually within 2 working days (orders placed before 12pm midday, Monday - Friday despatch and delivery)*


Express orders are given priority despatch.
Please note we are unable to compensate in any way or refund postage for late delivery. If a product does not say 'in stock' in green, but has an 'available to ship in' estimate showing in yellow, the delivery time is in addition to the ‘available to ship’ time frame.

*Some UK postcodes may take longer to deliver on express. International 

We are unable to ship to, or receive returns from outside of the UK at this time. 

Delivery is Monday to Friday only. These services cannot be 100% guaranteed by us personally, but we will do everything we can to ensure a smooth delivery. We aim to despatch orders placed before 12pm the same day, and standard delivery normally takes 3-5 working days, but may take longer during busy periods such as Christmas. We will try to keep you informed of any delays, but please feel free to email or phone for the status of your order at any time. We usually use a carrier that requires a signature so please ensure that there is someone there to receive your parcel. We cannot guarantee the time of any deliveries, but will do our best to get your order to you as quickly and conveniently as possible. You will be sent an email for larger orders when we despatch the goods to enable you to track your order with the carrier. We will charge for any costs incurred by us if the parcel is ultimately returned to us after a reasonable number of attempts has been made to deliver the goods to you, or you refuse the parcel when the courier attempts to deliver it without reasonable cause. This charge is usually £10 + VAT.

Overseas orders

We are happy to export orders. Postage is charged at cost, and the VAT may be deducted on orders to non EC countries and BFPO addresses.

Please always contact us for a quotation so that the correct payment can be sent which helps avoid delays to your order. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your country will be the customers responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be.

Goods damaged in transit

When you sign for your delivery from the carrier, you must check you are receiving the correct number of parcels your are signing for, and ensure that you make a note if there appears to be any damage to any of the parcels, on the consignment note. Please make sure you open your parcel immediately and carefully check the contents, as you must inform us within 3 working days of delivery of any damaged or incorrectly sent goods, (Please quote your order number in all correspondence).

Goods lost in transit

We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit/ any discrepancies with your order, unless we are notified within 5 working days from the expected delivery date (this is taken to be 2-3 working days from the advised date of despatch for standard delivery, 1-2 working days for express delivery option).
