Full Description

The Myler forward tilted ported barrel features a solid curved mouthpiece with upward curve and centre barrel for independent side movement. The entire mouthpiece is tilted forward with the 30 36, with port angled outwards, not up. This Myler bit acts on top of bars, and also tongue if horse is not on the vertical. The 30 cheek is an eggbutt style cheek but with slots for the reins and cheek pieces to go through. This gives this Myler bit the ability to apply a little poll pressure and there are also two small holes to accept hooks for a curb chain if required. The Myler eggbutt with slots is a very versatile bit and gives a much clearer action and release than traditional bits, which results in the horse understanding the rider more quickly and consistently. This bit is a good choice for a polite horse who is not heavy or strong, being especially good for those who do not have room for port on MB33, eg. Mountain & Moorland, Arabians & Hacks. Must only be used by light-handed rider as port will roll onto tongue quicker than upward-angled port.
