About Us

The Saddlery Shop is a family tack shop with a wealth of experience in the equestrian retail trade. For 11 years we had a traditional tack and saddlery shop, which built up a strong reputation for always giving good honest advice about our products. We were listed in the top 100 tack shops in the UK in 2004 and 2005, as voted for by readers of your horse magazine. We started the website in May 2005, and it quickly became established and grew to the extent that we made the decision to become a dedicated internet tack shop in order to maintain our high level of customer service. In November 2006, we moved into Trelawne Farm where we are gradually expanding and improving our range of equestrian products in our new purpose converted barn.

We have our own horses that regularly get used as guinea pigs to try out products that we stock, as we like to know first hand about what we are selling- not just what the manufacturer tells us!
